Must-have Shower Gift for Mum & Baby: Dream Essentials Sleep Kit
If you’re lucky, you’ll find yourself with a new baby who loves to sleep – anytime and anywhere – even at a rock concert.
I wasn’t so lucky when Colt came along. Sleep and sanity went out the window. There were a few things that changed our lives around here in the sleep department. First was night weaning, which I probably should have done sooner (I’ll know for next time). Second – reducing two naps to one so Mr. Don’t Want To Go To Bed was exhausted come sleepy time. And third – the white noise sound machine.
We’re using the Marsona Travel Sound Conditioner from Dream Essentials, which is perfect for us because we can take it when we travel. Its dreamy Rain, Waterfall and Surf sounds block out the not so nice noises like barky dogs, TV, traffic and more. Super easy to use, the system’s slide controls include one for volume, one for tonal range, and a three-way sound selector on/off switch.
Price: $69.95
And now that sleep is a sure thing around here, I’ve been taking my own rest to new levels with the Sweet Dreams Sleep Mask which shuts out light and makes napping a really sweet thing.
Price: $8.95

Bio
Hello fellow baby lovers. Well sometimes lovers. At 4 am when your wee one won’t sleep you’ll think you’ve signed up for a lifetime of enormous eye baggage. But then - babes will smile at you and it’s all worth it. I’m 38 and became a mum for the first time last year. I also became a step-mum to an 11 and 8 year old. Holy instant family. After 15 years working in media - tv, magazines, glamorous parties and wild trips - I now find myself with dish pan hands, endless laundry and a baby bullet. While I’m not pregnant right now - I think I’m crazy enough to have another. In the meantime I’m here to share all of my ‘first year with a baby’ stories with you hungry mums. Nothing can prepare you for the wonder and also the shock of becoming a mum.
