Product Review: The Weekender Diaper Bag from KALENCOM

Six months have passed and I’m really getting the hang of things. Travelling with baby is easier now that I know what to pack for him. My Weekender bag keeps all my baby essentials organized so that I can step out the door faster and get on with my adventures.
It took me a long time to find a diaper bag that I liked. Because I have a baby boy, all the frilly, pink and cutesy diaper bags did not appeal to me. Then finally, the Weekender diaper bag, $80 USD from Kalencom had caught my eye. From afar, you would never know that it was a diaper bag. It is a sturdy, classic tote bag in a chic “stone” colour with brown stitching and leather accents. Such a timeless look.
For the ladies who love a large bag, this is the one for you. At 17.5” L x 8” W x 13” H, this diaper bag can carry just about everything but the kitchen sink. The front pocket is perfect for keys, the phone and a camera. There’s also enough room for a mirror and a lipgloss. The large back pocket panel provides yet more space for whatever else you desire to bring with you. I have stored my laptop in there a few times. It’s the perfect little compartment on its own, separate from all the baby stuff. But if I don’t need to bring my laptop with me, I like to use that large pocket for storing a light receiving blanket. The 5 large pockets on the inside help keep your baby essentials organized and in plain view for easy accessibility. The Weekender bag also comes with a matching insulated bottle bag, change pad, and zippered pouch (which works well as a diaper clutch for diapers, rash cream and wipes).
The large diaper bag can be worn on the shoulders or hung on the stroller using the attached stroller straps. The metal feet and faux-leather trim at the bottom of the bag help to keep it clean, for an even longer wear. The treated fabric makes stains easy to wipe off with just a damp cloth and some mild soap.
Because the Weekender bag is such a huge and versatile bag, it can be used for a variety of things. I plan to use it as a gym bag later, as the inside pockets will be perfect for holding a water bottle, towel, extra socks, headband/hair ties and so on. The Weekender bag also makes a good carry-on when travelling. You can keep an extra sweater, travel pillow, slippers, or blanket on hand. File your passport, wallet, and important documents in the inside pockets so that you can retrieve them quickly without having to dig through the entire bag.
All of Kalencom’s diaper bags are eco-friendly, AZO-free and phthalates-free. To learn more about the Weekender bag and other fabulous Kalencom products, please click on their website for details.
