Product Review: Serenity Star by ADEN + ANAIS

Select “L” or “R” to record which side you are breastfeeding on so that you can alternate sides for the next feeding. It’s so simple to use.

The Serenity Star is also a sound machine. Babies are used to being surrounded by noise when they are in the womb. The Serenity Star includes four choice of sounds: heartbeat, white noise and two lullabies. You can set the timer for an auto shut-off after 30 or 60 minutes. You can also have the machine run on continuous play, and shut it off manually when you are done. I like to play the lullabies from this sound machine because it gives me the option to adjust the volume level. The sound machine is also useful for sleep deprived parents. Have you ever been so tired that you couldn’t fall asleep? Well, that’s when the white noise setting comes in handy. With the help of some soothing background noise, maybe mom and dad can manage to sneak in a few Zs before they are summoned by baby again.

And finally, the Serenity Star is a clock. Being a full-time mom and often required to do overtime is quite an exhausting job. Taking care of baby is priority no. 1 but it’s also important that moms get a chance to re-fuel. I will admit that on more than a few occasions, I have missed meals. Time flies when you are with baby. What seems like a few minutes may in actuality be a few hours. But with a clock in sight, it will help to keep mom on track.
