I have something really neat to share with you today. It’s an amazing 5-in-1 product called the Serenity Star by Aden and Anais. This multi-functional unit serves as a temperature indicator, sound machine, feeding diary, night light and clock.
We all know that babies are delicate and sensitive. With a drop or rise of just a few degrees, it can bring on feelings of discomfort. The Serenity Star’s temperature indicator emits a warm red glow if the room temperature is too warm (above 23.3 degrees celsius) and a blue glow if the room temperature is too cool (below 17.7 degrees celsius). When the light is white, it means the room is at its optimal temperature (17.8-23.2 degrees celsius). For an actual temperature read, the display screen will show the current temperature in either celsius or in fahrenheit, whichever you prefer.
The Serenity Star continues to illuminate the room with its gentle glow. This acts as a stylish night light that can be plugged into the wall outlet, or made portable by powering it with three AAA batteries.
The electronic feeding diary is such a clever and novel idea. One of the most unexpected things that I had discovered as a new mom was how much a baby mouth can eat. When my baby was a newborn, I had attempted to jot down all his feedings and diaper changes on a notepad. But in the long run, I couldn’t keep up. With this Serenity Star, all it takes is a tap on two buttons and it will keep track of your feedings for you. Before you begin baby’s feeding, hit the “memory” button on the Serenity Star to record the start time. Select “L” or “R” to record which side you are breastfeeding on so that you can alternate sides for the next feeding. It’s so simple to use.
The Serenity Star is also a sound machine. Babies are used to being surrounded by noise when they are in the womb. The Serenity Star includes four choice of sounds: heartbeat, white noise and two lullabies. You can set the timer for an auto shut-off after 30 or 60 minutes. You can also have the machine run on continuous play, and shut it off manually when you are done. I like to play the lullabies from this sound machine because it gives me the option to adjust the volume level. The sound machine is also useful for sleep deprived parents. Have you ever been so tired that you couldn’t fall asleep? Well, that’s when the white noise setting comes in handy. With the help of some soothing background noise, maybe mom and dad can manage to sneak in a few Zs before they are summoned by baby again.
And finally, the Serenity Star is a clock. Being a full-time mom and often required to do overtime is quite an exhausting job. Taking care of baby is priority no. 1 but it’s also important that moms get a chance to re-fuel. I will admit that on more than a few occasions, I have missed meals. Time flies when you are with baby. What seems like a few minutes may in actuality be a few hours. But with a clock in sight, it will help to keep mom on track.
The Serenity Star is so practical and convenient. If you are a mom-to-be, you’ll definitely want to add the Serenity Star to your registry. It’s a cute design that is suitable for any nursery. Eliminate clutter by investing in this compact and portable 5-in-1 multifunctional system. Its amazing features of temperature indicator, sound machine, feeding diary, night light and clock will keep you organized and feeling in control. The Serenity Star retails for $89.95 CND/USD.
