Product Review: Bellybuds

I’m sure many of you have heard that (classical) music can improve baby’s cognitive skills. Bellybuds are headphones that adhere to the tummy so that you can play music for your baby in the womb.

Rebel that I am, I did not play classical music. Instead, I played some rock and pop for my baby. It definitely rendered a reaction. Little wiggles and kicks confirmed that he was listening. The built-in volume control ensured that the music was never too loud.

The silicone covered headphones are easy to use. The Bellybuds can be plugged into your ipod, phone or any device that uses a headset. The Bellybuds Delux set comes with 4 hydragel adhesives. To extend the life of the adhesives, it is best to have a clean and dry tummy. Additional adhesives can be purchased if you use them up. The set also comes with an audio splitter. This allows you to listen to the music at the same time as your baby.

I really enjoyed using the Bellybuds. It was a neat way to bond with my unborn child. For $49.99, you can pick up a set of Bellybuds and try it out for yourself. Check out the Bellybuds website for more details on product description and retail locations.
